Biological

An agricultural product or foodstuff may only be called organic if the production process complies with legal requirements. The organic quality mark may only be used by organically certified companies. The word 'organic' is a legally protected term. The European government sets the rules, the bio-entrepreneurs comply with them and SKAL checks them. In this way, consumers can be confident that an organic product is truly organic. Commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, SKAL supervises the entire Dutch organic chain.

Every company that imports organic food, raw materials and animal feed must be certified for this. Both the actual importer and the person who physically receives the products (the first consignee) must be certified.

Eurofins is specified in detecting pesticides and its expert in carrying out residue analyses, which we test against the organic legislation. Because we use our own specialized laboratories, we are able to realize fast turnaround times. Eurofins is recognized by SKAL (the Netherlands) and by BNN (Germany). We advise you on the latest legislation and requirements set by these authorities in setting up and maintaining quality systems. In addition, we can also help you with sampling and analysis in the country of origin. So that you are aware of the quality of the products at an early stage.
