General statement Eurofins & corona virus – latest update July 8, 2020
 

The management of Eurofins Food, Feed, Water Benelux has taken stricter measures to safeguard our customers, employees and business continuity. By doing so, we are following the guidelines and recommendations of the RIVM (Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) and the FOD (Federal Public Service Health) in Belgium. We are making every effort to limit the impact on all our stakeholders, so that we can continue to deliver the service that our customers expect from us.

Task force & corona coordinator for each location
From mid-February 2020, Eurofins has set up a task force to monitor our prevention policies. This monitoring is carried out several times a week, with a corona coordinator at the location.

Eurofins at your location
Our sample takers, inspectors, food consultants and laboratory staff are working every day to ensure food and water safety throughout the Benelux. Without these (legally required) checks, the foods and drinking water concerned could not be released to the market, which would mean empty shelves in the retail outlets. All other Eurofins staff only visit external parties when these comply with the RIVM and FOD guidelines. As well as that, as much use as possible is made of the available online communication tools.

Ensuring business continuity 
Eurofins has made sure that there are extra stocks to limit the impact of any possible supply chain disruptions. In addition, staff who are able to work at home are doing so, and those who are needed at various locations are observing working time and personal separation measures.

All of us currently have to deal with a very special situation, but we are confident that by working together we will be able to successfully meet the challenges we are currently facing.
