Radical chain transparency: Is that possible?
Chain transparency and integrity in food is becoming more and more common. From 'glass factories' and open kitchens to a Waitrose 'cow cam' that broadcasts the ups and downs of dairy cattle on the internet 24 hours a day. From providing real-time information during food crises to producers who show their entire production process in video reports. Startups that involve their chain partners from A to Z in product development. And companies that use sensors, blockchain protocols and 'smart contracts' to record the total history of a food product.
But what are the dilemmas?
Can I be transparent, even as a product developer or quality employee? Isn't that mainly the task of management and marketing? Don't I make myself vulnerable with transparency?
Come to the Food Future Event on Thursday 5 April and let us update you on these important developments. Learn from others how they deal with the theme of 'radical transparency'.
