Unsafe food

Article 14 of the General Food Law says it all: unsafe food may not be placed on the market.  The same article of this legislation also states that authorities can impose restrictions if there is a suspicion that products do not comply with the legislation. What should I do?

In addition to ensuring the traceability of your products at all stages of production, in case of suspicion of an unsafe foodstuff, you must put in place procedures to retrieve products and inform the authorities (Article 19). In this case, the NVWA, to which you can report all the details via the reporting indicator and the reporting form. In addition, you inform your customers and look for the possible cause.

Does my product meet the legal criteria?
