Take a look around the supermarket and the quality marks and logos on products will shine out for you, especially in the field of sustainability. Some seem even more sustainable than others, but which product do you choose if you really want to be sure that you are doing something sustainable?
Quality mark guide
The Environmental Central Quality Mark can help with this. In addition, Milieucentraal has assessed all the labels on sustainability and found that only 10 of the 95 labels belong to a top quality mark.
Top quality mark
In order to be a top quality mark, the quality mark must score a minimum of 4 or 5 points on the criteria of sustainability, level, transparency, reliability & involvement. For example, how good is the control of the hallmark, are the requirements clear to find and are they verifiable?
Implementation
When can you, as an organization, apply a quality mark to your product and what procedures, registration and traceability are required for this? Eurofins Food Safety Solutions can help you with the translation of the requirements to your organization.
