Eurofins LabCo: Independent GAFTA Referee Analyst

Do you trade grain or animal feed within the Netherlands or Belgium and follow GAFTA guidelines, or does your business ship your produce to customers located in Belgium or the Netherlands? In order to get the best price for your goods, you must have the exact composition determined in accordance with the international trading standards set by GAFTA. If you are buying or importing a consignment of goods, you will also want to assess the quality based on these standards. In both cases you will need a reliable GAFTA analyst. We have good news: close to the port of Rotterdam - where your batches may arrive - is the Eurofins LabCo laboratory. This is an independent laboratory which performs analyses under a GAFTA contract and is authorised to make the final decision in disputes about the results of GAFTA analyses internationally. Worldwide there are only 4 of these 'GAFTA Referee Analyst' laboratories. 

Eurofins LabCo is one of the GAFTA Referee Analysts - and the only one in the Netherlands. This makes us one of the top GAFTA analysts in the world, and our team has a great deal of experience. With our analyses, you can be sure that your grain or animal feed complies with the international GAFTA trading standards. As a referee lab, we receive many stand-in samples on a daily basis which traders and producers all over the world are obliged to have analysed by our referee lab. About GAFTA

GAFTA, or the Grain and Feed Trade Association, promotes international trade and protects the interests of traders and products in grain, feed, legumes, rice and spices. They provide regulations for quality standards, terms of trade, guarantees, weighting rules, analyses and the handling of disputes. GAFTA has several laboratories recognized as GAFTA Approved Analysts. These laboratories must meet a comprehensive set of rules before they can call themselves GAFTA Approved Analysts. Eurofins LabCo even goes one step further and is certified as a GAFTA Referee Lab.

Eurofins LabCo - unlike many other GAFTA Approved Analyst labs - is not affiliated with a (feed) producer. Due to this independent position, we can proudly attest to our complete impartiality with regard to analysis results. Our customers - and probably yours too - find this very reassuring.

A rich history

Eurofins LabCo has a lot of experience in analysing animal feed and cereals, and is also recognized by GMP+, FOSFA, Vernof, CNGD & Nofota. It was established in 1957 as a lab affiliated with the Committee of Grain Traders in the Rotterdam harbour. Today, the lab is part of the extensive Eurofins network with an unprecedented portfolio of services and analyses, including mycotoxins, pesticides, alkaloids, dioxins, organoleptic research, oils and fats, whey analyses and much more.
