The new corona detection service from Eurofins enables you to check your cleaning and disinfection protocol and to adjust it where necessary. In this way we can support you in establishing a safe (working) environment for yourself, your personnel and your visitors. The corona detection service is ideal for checking all kinds of touch points such as door handles, soap dispensers, payment displays, control buttons, taps, sinks/counters/desks, armrests, packaging materials, shopping trolleys and baskets. 
The service includes taking swabs by experienced sampling staff, quick reporting of the results (within 36 hours) and advice for follow-up actions if coronavirus is detected.

So what is the ‘SARS-Covid-2 PCR kit’?
SARS-CoV-2 is the official medical name of the virus that causes the Covid-19 disease. The kit is a validated solution to quickly and simply test for the presence of coronavirus on surfaces and objects by means of swabs. This is done in two steps based on RNA extraction. The first step is screening for a positive or negative result. This is followed by a confirmation test if the result is positive. You will receive an ‘early warning’ in case of two positive results, so you can quickly take the necessary cleaning measures. The final report is sent to you within 36 hours after sampling.

We can work together with you to identify the surfaces and objects to be sampled, and we will calculate the total number of swabs that need to be taken. The sampler comes to take the swab wearing protective body covering if necessary: eye, mouth and hand protection and/or a protective jacket.
 

Coronavirus-free workspaces
The SARS-Covid-2 PCR kit is a new variant of the existing, proven and validated method for norovirus and Hepatitus A testing and has been developed in accordance with the NEN-ISO 15216-2 and WHO protocol 'sampletaking of surfaces'. It allows you to check your cleaning and disinfection protocol, and gives you support in establishing a coronavirus-free environment for the users of your buildings, workspaces and other facilities.
